Radial single-row ball bearings
They have the widest range of applications and are calculated for the perception of radial load. They can withstand small axial loads. There are good speed qualities but they do not work well if there is a distortion of the shafts. Internal d can be from 1mm to 1m.
Load capacity of a radial ball bearing is small in comparison with other types of similar size.
Radial double Row Ball Bearings
The prototype of this bearing is a single-row ball bearing. The main feature of the design is the presence of a spherical surface on the outer ring which allows eliminating the main drawback of a single-row ball bearing –an inability to work when the shafts are bent. This type is widely used in agricultural machinery and other industries where long and thin shafts are used at low loads.
Separators in the majority of double-row spherical ball bearings are pressed. Large-sized bearings are manufactured with massive brass separators.
Radial roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers
The rolling element in this type is a roller. The area of interaction with the outside and inside cages is much larger than in the ball bearings. As a result roller bearings have a high load capacity. A constructive disadvantage of this type is a complete lack of perception of the axial load and the bearing breaks down in a short period of time when working with a skewed shaft. The second disadvantage of this design is a bad work at high rotational speeds. In mechanical units this type is used in conjunction with other types of bearings that take an axial load on themselves. Radial roller bearings are used at low rotational speeds and high radial loads.
Separators in radial roller bearings are stamped or massive which made of steel or non-ferrous metal alloys. The massive separators are centered mainly on the double-breasted ring.
Double Row Spherical Roller Bearings
The design of the double row spherical roller bearing combines all the best technical characteristics of a double row ball bearing and a cylindrical roller bearing. The inside surface of the outer cage is spherical which makes it possible to compensate the misalignment of the shafts. The rolling element is a spherical roller.
The bearing works well with large radial uneven loads. This design is widely used in such industries as metallurgy, mining, heavy engineering.
This type is analogous to radial roller bearings. The main difference is a larger ratio of the length of the roller and its diameter (needle). The perception of loads is the same as of a roller bearing. The main advantage of this type is small dimensions. In mechanical units where there are no large radial loads it is recommended to use this type. In this case the dimensions of the node can be reduced at several times.
Needle bearings are widely used in printing, conveyor and packing machines, automotive industry.
Radial roller bearings with twisted rollers
A small type of bearings. This is an analog of cylindrical roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers. The difference is in the presence of a spiral groove for lubrication on the body of rotation (roller) and the use of special steels and heat treatment during their production. These bearings are used in metallurgy when working in heavy and highly contaminated conditions.
Radial-stubborn ball bearings
Radial-stubborn ball bearings are similar to radial ball bearings by its design. The main difference of this type is the possibility and necessity of simultaneous operation under axial and radial load. Bearing operation is impossible without simultaneous presence of both loads. This design has the same speed characteristics as a conventional radial ball bearing. Bearings are grouped together (duplexes, triplexes) for simultaneous operation with axial loads from different sides. Bearings are made with chiseled brass separators. This type is widely used in the automotive industry and the production of machine tools.
Conical Roller Bearings
This bearing design can simultaneously perceive a large radial and one-sided thrust (for a single installation). It is desirable to work with simultaneous presence of both loads. The rolling element is a conical roller.
Separators of tapered bearings are made of steel by stamping or turning. Centering of the separators is carried out by rolling elements and has the form of conical rollers.
This construction is used in metallurgy and heavy machine building.
Thrust ball bearings
Thrust ball bearings are designed for axial load operation. The presence of a radial load is unacceptable. This bearing design has excellent speed qualities but low load capacity.
Separators of ball thrust bearings are pressed or massive made of steel or alloys of non-ferrous metals.
Thrust Roller Bearings
The rolling element in this construction is a roller unlike the thrust ball bearings. The rollers can be cylindrical, conical and spherical. Thrust roller bearings can compensate skews and discrepancies of the shaft axes depending on the shape of the rollers. Thrust roller bearings are used in heavy duty conditions with large axial loads. The main branches of use are metallurgy, mining, energy.
This type of bearing does not have a rolling element. There is no circular rotation during operation. This group of bearings has found wide application in the automotive industry.
Due to their special characteristics (in particular the ability to compensate for installation errors, operating conditions) these nodes are widely used in:
